Ashes to Ashes (spoilers)
I loved it.
Then I watched LoM on BBC4 and realised how much I miss it.
I think I'm going to have to look at the two as completely separate shows.
But gosh. The colours, and that horrible clown, and the camera angles?! They're really going all out. It has nice parallels to LoM without feeling like a rehash, and it's so funny.
BUT SAM! They killed Sam!!
It's not as bad as I feared - at least he had his seven years there. But still.
I wonder if this is why Gene has a new car. Maybe it was the Cortina that Sam drove into the lake.
(I am almost as upset by this thought as I am by dead!Sam)
I just have images of Annie with lots of little Sam-babies all on her own. Gah. I was sitting there like, "Give me something! At least tell me that got married."
This looks like it could be good, though. Really, really good. Obviously the entire focus has shifted, what with Alex being aware of how she's there. I like that. It doesn't all feel the same, then and there's still lots of mystery in it.
