Im in Dharmashala, home of the Dalai Lama. Ive gone to his teachings a couple of times. Lucky me to come at one of the 2 two-week periods in a year that he gives teachings. It compliments very well that I recieved mantra diksha from Swami Niranjananda, President of Bihar School of Yoga, writer of over 20 books, and international Yoga spokesman...who just happened to visit my ashram for the fist time in a few years while I was there.
The other day some friends and I hiked up to Triund, a ridge at 9000 feet here in the "foothills" of the Himalayas. We made it just in time for sunset. I ended up spending a night on a dried-donkey-poo poo-ground in a small opening I guess you can call a cave with Frank the German. Its a good thing we brought blankets cause it was freezing and the ground was covered in like a meter of snow outside. We had a great view of the 4300 meter Moon Peak, which I can't reach right now because I dont have the gear. I could get the gear, and just might do so if I dont get the opportunity to go rock climbing in the next couple of days. I have to leave to go back to Mumbai in 5 1/2 days.
Oh yeah, and Im officially a certified yoga instructor now.
Cheers!
