Mark and I don't do the whole exchanging "I love you"s, though it has happened in the past.
This past week I'm pretty sure that he said it while I was half-asleep. I remember waking up slightly more, having that frog-in-throat sensation, and then laying back down not knowing whether or not saying "love you too" would make me look insane.
I'm pretty sure saying nothing made me look like an asshole. But there's the beauty of it: he doesn't care about those sorts of things.
