Just sitting around tonight, eating a Tombstone, and drinking the
best beer in the world. Not sure if I concur with that statement, but it is really, really good beer.
Not much going on with me...working, eating, and sleeping. Main entertainment these days consists of going to White Sox games. They still have the best record in the American League, and are heading for the playoffs, but goddamn have they played like crap the past month or so. Ugh.
At Lollapalooza, I found this little postcard for Digable Planets tee-shirts. It had some sort of code on it for a contest, so I went online at home, and entered. Yesterday, i got an email, telling me I won...a free t-shirt. Alright, works for me. So i had to pick out a t-shirt, and send them a picture of myself to use on the digable website (which is
www.ceeknowledge.com). Of course, I couldn't find a picture I liked (the
hohoho one that's my favorite doesn't quite work. So my evening was spent trying to take a decent picture of myself. I ended up with this:
That is my favorite shirt.
I made microwave popcorn the other day, and was all proud that there were only like 3 or 4 unpopped kernals. I think I take way too much pride in that...
I'm really impressed by
On Demand cable technology. I'm sure it's not just a Comcast thing, but I imgaine different providers have different names. Basically, its like free pay-per-view of all sorts of shit. Everything from movies, to Adult Swim shows to tons of music videos to movie trailers. If there's nothing interesting on TV, just flip to the On Demand channel, and pull up whatever Sealab or Iron Chef episode they have available. If you have HBO or Cinemax, then you can access their shows...including their adult entertainment options! If you want to laugh, you can check out video personals of various people...Dating On Demand, lol. You can pause, fast forward, and rewind the video stream. It's just really cool to know that you can always find something decent to watch on On Demand, and not have to rely on the channel's scheduling whims. Hell I just cliked on a Grouch music video...
Went camping in Michigan over Labor Day weekend with some friends...camping being something I haven't done it years. It was a pretty good time...the site was a State Park along Lake Michigan, which provided for some nice sunsets...
Anyway, Belgian beer comes in large bottles and has a high alcohol content...I'm done.
