paradox or not?

"There were other more substantive causes for the growing feeling of unrest. For one thing, the oil money that had started pouring into Iran in 1973 after the Third-Isreali war and the Arab oil embargo ended was upsetting the social structure and threatning the country's cultural equilibrium. One could not miss the jolting juxtaposistion of conservative and progressive."

I went to the library awhile ago and picked up a book. The one listed below. I didn't know what to expect but I read the synopsis provided none other by Queen Noor herself. Some of you might find this intriguing, others might find it boring, I found it quite informational. Many people find themselves to hate the Arab world. Yes, there's actually a good reason for many of you to depise them. What I find surprising is that many of you seem too ignorant to realize that the story that we seem to see everyday in the media is trying to shape the way that we think. They always seem to show the murders, and the agony that the west feels. But did we all fail to realize that there is an entire genre of people out there that are suffering every single day without little or no recognition?

Take for example the Palestinian and Isreali conflict. We see the suicide bombers, and one here sees the image of radicals blowing themselves up. That's not right, its not right for one to kill themselves to kill others. I find it damned that these people think that its okay to kill anyone period. Its not that a muslim killed a jew. Or a jew killed a muslim, but its the truth that a human being killed another human being. The repetitiveness of these bombings are unnecessary of the media to constantly play over and over. I found that there anger had been developing since the beginning. I wish that the populations of these two countries would just get together and work things out, without government interference. If you ask me, I'd say that Sharon and Arafat are two old idiots that don't care about anything but themselves, and are unaware of their own people. All these people are not evil by nature. Its that these people have been taught to think in such a negative facet, that these two nations, who should live next to each other in peace are fighting due to the greed of their country's leaders.

No religion, or culture teaches one how to be evil. But when its taken out of proportion and used to justify murder, it becomes evil. But let me mention that evil, or terrorism, is based on ones opinion, to me you may be a terrorist. But to another that same terrorist may be a friend. These thoughts alone bolster the age old saying, "There are two sides to every story."

Let me end by saying that, well, its time for peace. These people are all full of discontent. Let me remind all of you that that is the leading cause of a revolution. I don't know when my generation will witness the destruction that comes with revolution, but I have a feeling that we will witness a significant change in history.
