announcement and recs
hi everyone!
i just wanted to let you know that i've changed the rules here a bit, just to get things moving a bit more (i hope).
you may now rec just one set of icons per post if you wish.
naturally, you're welcome to rec more (as i am about to do!), but if you have jut found one amazing set of icons that you want to tell the world about, you no longer have to wait to find two more cool sets before making a post here.
the only caveat i'll add to that is to ask that you try not to make more than one post per day.

now to some hip icons:
likefluffy has posted a small set of coupling (the real british version) HERE. they're bright, they're funny, and they have some great quotes :)
you'll find some fantastic world of warcraft icons by mignolagraphics if you look HERE. they are crisp and beautiful, and feature both horde and alliance characters.
whispyr has made a post featuring some incredibly pretty icons of Amelie, the art of Sylvia Ji and also some stock icons. there's an ethereal quality to them. she makes great use of light textures. see them HERE.
in THIS POST at tempest_icons you'll find some lovely icons of emma (the gwyneth paltrow version). soft colours, elegant cropping. well worth a look if you're into period drama.
love david tennant? likestarlights icons featuring the tenninch on 'the friday night project' can be found HERE. he's wearing a waistcoat and tie - what more could you want??
odette_river has made a very distinctive set of stock icons with a carefree summery feel and you can find them HERE. they are bright, have a scrapbooky look and tone in with blues and greens deliciously.
bambinainnero has made a set of stunning stock icons for 100stockicoms and they are just so gorgeous. there are cakes, lady beetles, butterflies, waves, flowers, and each one is made with real skill and an eye for detail. see them HERE.
it wouldn't be a post from me without reccing a set of dr who icons, would it? well, THIS SET by graphicalle is pretty special. the pinky-gold colouring is really beautiful, the way they've been cropped is perfect, and the range of 10/rose expressions she's captured is just fantastic. the only thing you won't like about these is how hard it is to choose which ones to take and use!
