BUGS EVURWHAR!!
Okay, so they aren't like everywhere. All my windows are shut right now. I ended up buying one of these at Home Depot yesterday (for $399) which is working quite well at keeping my living room nice and cool!
That being said, I just happened to look out the window in front of my computer screen, and there are . . . at least 100 mayflies and other gross ass tiny flying bugs we get around here in NE Ohio every summer. Since I don't want them in my apartment, are there any natural things I can spray/smear on the windows to keep them out? My mom's told me that peppermint oil works to keep out ants, eucalyptus oil/leaves for mosquitoes . . .
I never had a problem with bugs in my last apartment because the windows were pretty well sealed off, but since this building is old, the windows don't exactly keep nature out, so to speak.
We're supposedly getting new double-paned vinyl windows installed sometime this summer, but until then, anyone have advice on how to keep the bugs out?
