Induction Stove

Hi HD!

My boyfriend and I recently purchased our first home and we move in this weekend! I will have plenty of DIY reno/painting/OMG please help me posts in the coming months and figured I might as well start now. I've grown up with those electric coil stoves my entire life and boyfriend had a gas range. The house we purchased has an induction cooktop (http://www.electroluxappliances.com/kitchen-appliances/cooktops/induction/ew36ic60is). I've done my research and I've already purchased some pots (I looked like a crazy woman in bed bath and beyond sticking a magnet to the bottom of the pots). My question comes to those of you who have an induction cooktop, what are some things you "learnt the hard way" or any words of advice on how to cook on this thing. I bought some Emeril ProClad pans, which was the best we could afford that still worked with the magnet. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Switching out to a gas range is not an option. It would involve removing cabinets and installing a gas line, for the future we are definitely considering it but for right now - we're limited.

TIA!!
