slow-cooker recipes for stove top

Aug 10, 2011 23:47

Hey hipsters! I came across this recipe for brown sugar and balsamic slow-cooked pork this evening and I reeeeeally want to make it for dinner tomorrow. HOWEVER, as you can see, it's a slow-cooker recipe, and I do not have a slow cooker (nor do I have 6-8 hours at home in the evening after work... I usually get home around 5:30, so that gives me 2, MAYBE 3 hours). Can anyone recommend the best way to cook this for similar results? Like should I just put it on the stove and braise it on medium low for a few hours? Will it still be juicy and tender, or should I wait until a lazy Saturday when I'll be home all day to give it the time the recipe requires?

Thanks in advance!
