My husband used to rip asbestos out of closed down warehouses and grocery stores. He doesn't think that it's asbestos, he said it looks like it's fiberglass. But I'm really concerned.

That looks like degraded blown-in insulation to me.

On the other hand, if you tap the drywall, it shouldn't fall apart easily. Does it appear as if it's water damaged?
