I apologize if this isn't the appropriate place to ask, but I couldn't think of anything else!
It's looking like I'll have to suck it up and move back to DC when I finish grad school the first week of June. As such, I'll be making the drive from Denver, CO to Northern Virginia, via US 70. My parents are flying out from Boston to drive the truck, and my boyfriend will be flying out from DC to help me with driving my car back. I did this trip when I came out here two years ago, but we just drove and drove and drove since we also had my (then) new roommate and her family in our caravan as well. I don't want to do that this time since it'll just be me and the boy, and my parents. I'd like to stop by some cheesy tourist stops, or anything interesting along the way without getting too far off the highway. Problem is, 1. It's Route 70, which mostly means lots of corn fields. 2. I don't really know anything about the cities we will pass through.
Does anyone know of a site where I can enter my start and end destination and it will show me cool things along the way? I cannot for the life of me find anything useful that shows attractions and I've been googling for about an hour. Thanks, HD! =)
