Puzzle 025 - [Video/Action for Goldenrod]

[Today Luke has discovered the Game Corner, and he’s already checked out and played on some of the slot machines. Accompanying him is his Eevee, Cinnamon, who looks incredibly bored. Unfortunately for her, the Game Corner doesn’t have much to offer entertainment-wise for a Pokemon.

One particular game catches his eye: a table for Voltorb Flip. The game looks more like his style, and Luke hurries over to check it out. He glances up at the man standing in front of the table.]

Excuse me, what’s this gam-

Show me how you play! Make my heart pound with excitement!

...Uh, all right. That's nice. But how do you-

My heart pounds with excitement when people enjoy my Coin game!

I-if you say so, sir. I suppose there's no harm in trying it just this once...

[About an hour later…

Yeah, Luke still hasn't left. Cinnamon gets fed-up with Luke not paying attention to her, and starts pawing at him in order to get him to play with her instead.]

Vee! Eevee!

Not now, Cinnamon! Rrrgh, this better not be another Voltorb!

[Out of irritation, she bites down on Luke‘s bag and pulls in hopes that‘ll get his attention. The fire stone that Luke had held onto slides out, landing on her head. As soon as she touches it, there’s a flash of light. This causes Luke to quickly whip around to look at her.]

Wha-! What’s happening! What did you do!

[The light fades, and standing in Cinnamon's place is this Pokemon:

]

Flaaaaar…

[Well, that's new. Luke stares in shock for a moment before kneeling down to get a closer look at her. Meanwhile, Cinnamon glances around for a moment, right before blowing a stream of fire into the air. Hey now she can use fire moves! Neat!]

Ack, wait! Stop that you’ll-!

[Before Luke can stop Cinnamon from showing off, some of the nearby patrons start freaking out. There’s panicked voices everywhere and cries of “FIRE!”, right before the sprinkler system goes off.

Some time later, Luke walks out of the Game Corner with a sheepish-looking Flareon in his arms. They’re both wet and Luke does not look happy at all. The fact that they‘re now both standing in the pouring rain now does not help.

He fiddles with the Pokegear for a minute, turning it on.]

Hmpf! Seems as though I finally solved the mystery behind that strange-looking stone I found a while back. Though I'm not sure finding out that way was worth it.

[He glares at the Flareon in his arms, who looks away innocently.]

Anyway, I don’t think we’ll be allowed back in the Game Corner anytime soon. I really liked that Voltorb Flip game too!

I could really use some hot chocolate right about now.
