Puzzle 023 - [Video/Action for Goldenrod]
[Hi Johto! Luke’s decided to make it a habit to record some of his battles, and hoping that he could win the Goldenrod gym badge, he’s spending today challenging gym leader Whitney to a Pokemon battle!
The video records him alternating between Mr. Bear the Ursaring, Dandy the Jumpluff, and Wreckin’ Ball the Sandslash. All against Whitney’s cute but admittedly powerful Pokemon. Fortunately, right when things are starting to look bad between Whitney’s Miltank using Rollout, Mr. Bear ends up delivering the final blow! The Miltank lays sprawled on the ground. Luke wins!
But right as the boy starts feeling victorious, that’s when Whitney…bursts into tears in front of him.]
Waaaaaah, waaaaaah you’re so mean!!
W-wait miss, I didn’t mean to-!
[True gentleman don’t make girls cry. Luke fumbles with his Pokegear to shut off the video before this looks any worse on his part..
About an hour later, he’s resting in the Goldenrod Inn. He holds up his new Plain Badge to the camera.

Two down, uh, however many more to go! It’s not quite as nice-looking as the other one, but I still won!
[A tiny nose appears in front of the camera, along with two long ears. Seems as though the Eevee egg Luke received from France finally hatched! There’s a chuckle from Luke as he moves the camera so that everyone can see her.

Isn’t she cute? I have to say, peace and quiet's been the last thing one these Pokemon's minds ever since they hat - YEOWCH!
[Before Luke can finish that sentence, Luke’s Shinx bites down on his ankle. Hard. It scurries off playfully before deciding to bat at the strap on Luke’s bag while Luke rubs the new bite mark. A crash follows not too long afterwards, though it’s hard to tell who caused it. Being a father/mother to several baby Pokemon is hard.]
...Raising baby Pokemon isn’t an easy job is it?
[And with that, Luke attempts to make a filter to Raz. But since he doesn’t know how, anyone can hear it. Luke‘s caught wind of some of the Team Rocket activities going on and he‘s a little worried.]
…Say Raz, are you there? I just wanted to make sure you’re all right.
