I'm sorry to be posting in your personal journal. I found your post in the Young MilWives group as a result of doing a keyword search. I notived tht you said your boyfriend will be going to Iraq in March. I wanted to take a minute and tell you about a new community that you might be interested in.
I am the Group Moderator for patriotpenpals. We provide friendship, support and encouragement to military personnel stationed overseas. Our volunteers send letters, cards and care packages. If this is something you would like to register your boyfriend for, please contact me. (My e-mail can be found at the top of the community page). Understand that the continued safety and security of our troops is my first and biggest concern. Under no circumstances is a Service Member's name or personal information made available in a public forum. Prospective pen pals are required to go through an application process before they may correspond with a Service Member.
Well, as I've said...we'd love to have you swing by the community and take a look around. Even if you do not wish to register your boyfriend we'd love to have you join. In addition to being a resource for our volunteers we provide ideas, articles and help for how to go about supporting your loved one overseas. Many of our members have spouses or family members deployed.
