Music rotation of sad songs.

Since hiryuu asked me to put up her "Kouya Ruten", I'll do a music rotation comprising of some sad songs. (Since that girl is obsessed with sad tunes...-_-)

I'm sure you will like most of them. a number of them are pretty new songs, even the oldest only dates back to late 2006. Several of them I have already mentioned in my previous entry, so here they are. Enjoy!

Sad songs for hiryuu:

Kaggra - Utakata

                 Kasunda Fuyu no Mukou ni

                shizuku

Comment: These 3 songs are from J-Rock band, Kaggra's newest album "shizuku". Though they are under the genre of J-Rock, they have very beautiful melodies and the lead's voice is really unlike typical J-Rock singers too. They are absolutely listenable even for those who are not into J-Rock stuffs, plus all of them especially "shizuku" gives off a really melanchlolic feel. I would say that all 3 songs are MUST DOWNLOADS.

HOME MADE KAZOKU - Nagareboshi ~Shooting Star~

Comment: This song is the Ending Theme for the latest season of Naruto: Shippuden. I have to say, it is an awesome song with good tune, tempo and rap, suis the ED very well.

Mr. Children - Shirushi

                          Kurumi

Comment: Shirushi is the first song that I have heard from this long running group, and I have to say...I regret for not knowing them earlier. The single is really good, and both songs really makes me feel nostalgic and a bit sad somehow.

Otsuka Ai - Renai Shashin

Comment: The first time I listened to this song, I was like "Ok, another slow and boring song". However, when I saw Ai performing it live on Music Station Super Live, I suddenly developed a liking for it. Now, I think it is just beautiful.

Aqua Timez - Ketsui no Asa ni

Sen no Yoru wo Koete

Comment: I have to say that these 2 songs are the only ones which I like in their latest album. It is so obvious that both of them pawned all their other songs, anyway, Aqua Timez is a pretty new band. Both are really sad songs though they are not slow ballads at all, "Sen no Yoru wo Koete" is the theme song for BLEACH the movie. Both songs are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Gackt - Noi ni Saku Hana Yo ni

Comment: Not very typical Gackt, but a nicely done quiet and emotional song.

FictionJunctionYUUKA - Kouya Ruten

Comment: This song is really unique, it gives off an ancient Chinese dynasty feel somehow. A superb song, a nice change from the usual pop and rock.

Tsuchiya Anna - Kuroi Namida ~Deep Sadness Version~

Comment: I liked this version a lot better than the original version, the background orchestra of the chorus part is just so emotional. Anna's angsty voice is filled with passion throughout the song, very Nana. The original version is supposed to be the OP for the NANA anime, I think. MUST DOWNLOAD.

Suara - Kimi ga Tame

Comment: Suara is really little known, though she did quite a few songs for several anime. Her voice is really unique, it has those kind of olden Japanese feeling to it. I REALLY think she should do a FictionJunctionSUARA with FictionJunction. I bet it is going to be as awesome as FictionJunctionYUUKA.
