"Zatanna being bad@ss, yet more Spitfire flirting, Red Tornado doing something crazy/awesome/weird, SuperMartian being exposed to the members of Spitfire, (yes, I am going to predict this until it happens), Robin doing his normal bad@ss ninja thing, and the reveal of Artemis's family. (Last one is more hope than prediction.)"

Yep, that is basically me throughout the episode.
I actually only watched this about half an hour ago, because of something annoying called "real life." I know, how weird is that?
At the beginning, I was a bit confused at what was happening. I thought T.O. Morrow was actually re-programming Red Tornado.
And then we had title sequence, and then Captain Marvel (who I am loving to pieces, BTW) is helping Wally, who is, of course, taking full advantage of it (hey, who wouldn't want someone basically as powerful as Superman to look after you when you have a broken arm?), and the rest of the Team sparring. And then Black Canary continues to prove herself to be a kick@ss lady, and then Zatara appears, and I settle down to have a fun time, hopefully with KF flirting with Zatanna and Artemis getting crabby and jealous.
What I got was so much better.
I'd honestly believed it when I heard that Jesse McCartney had claimed Robin was not going to have a love-interest. *smiles at self from a few hours ago* But wow that was adorable. Him trying to impress her, him claiming that she would never tell, and her breaking down words in the same way... I have a new pairing! (Hmm... pairing name. Robinna? Zatabin? I'm going to have to think on this one.)
I was really hoping she'd join the Team (still am, as a matter of fact). And with dialogue like this...
Robin: "I'm sure we she won't tell."
Zatanna: "I can't tell if you kidnap me."
Artemis: "Oh, she's gonna fit in great."
Zatanna: Tornado never knew my moves!
Robin: And I bet you've got some good ones!
(beat)
Robin: Whoa! Sorry, that may have come off a little too Wally.
Zatanna: I don't mind.
Robin: So, good kidnapping?
Zatanna: Actually, yeah. Best ever.
Robin: First of many, I hope.
Zatanna: If my dad doesn't ground me for life.
(Cut to Mount Justice)
Zatara: SHE'S GROUNDED FOR LIFE!
Zatanna: Be as chalant as you like!
(Cut to Robin's face)
...how can she not?
But, continuing. After a bit disclusive telepathic conversation, (and her calling them out on it), the Team "kidnaps" Zatanna, (after sending CM off to play with Wolf, promising to join him soon) and visits Professor Ivo, after deciding to do something random and stupid (*cue everyone looking at Wally*) And then Zatanna gets a wonderful COA, with her bewitching Ivo to tell the truth.
Then they go off to find the Reds, and we meet Red Volcano. The minute T. O. Morrow started talking about android superiority, I settled down and informed my cat, "He's going to die."
... well, I was sort of right... if he'd been human, he would've!
The fight was a lot of fun, and very well done. And my Robin/Zatanna shipper nearly died. (In any other universe, this would be such a crack pairing...)
This episode actually just spoiled my shipper in general, from minor Spitfire flirting/interaction and even more protective Supermartian... Yep, I'm happy.
... and the ending! I feel so sad for Captain Marvel, and was very surprised that we didn't find out that the Light had won, but I'm pretty darn sure they have... somehow.
In short, a good episode, even if I was a bit off--let's see, we did get a bad@ss Zatanna, Spitfire, Red Tornado, Supermartian is now so obvious that I'm just going to say that I was right, and Robin was awesome and ninja-like. So just no Artemis family subplot.
... and there's no new episode next week????? *big dramatic no!*
