Well I've been productive today, or not depending on how you look at it! Been playing about with stock photography today, cupcakes in particular - apologies if they make you hungry XD I wanted to do some more fandom stuff but really couldn't be bothered to go and find images for it. I should do more stock, clean lines, bright colours and overall

i totally agee!! i LOVE simplicity and that in icons, especially food! GREAT job! - these should be posted to minimalistic icon journals as well if they are not already. they are beautiful!

umm, i added your post to my mems as inspiration - i do food icons alot too, simple and not. can i ask only one question on color or a possible tutorial on color for 48-51 (i like how they are muted and bright same time and the brownish warm tones) - is that the pics or your coloring?

Ooh stock ones would be great as I'd like some more stock icons myself. Thanks for these, this is my first major venture out of fandom so wasn't too sure of the best places to pimp them XD

Will check them all out tomorrow as my eyes have gone a bit cross eyed from icons today!

As for icons 48-51, the only one with any colour modification was 50. The rest were just cropped and then sharpened which tends to make the colours 'pop' a little more as well as sorting out focus, and possibly just a soft light filter.

I didn't save the .psd's on these as I was just cranking them out so can't say for sure.

As for 50, same as above but I think I added a navy blue layer and set to exclusion and then this texture by spooky_windows, I think as either soft light or overlay, and just fiddled with opacity

ok, sounds good! blue exclusion is a great effect. i use that too! im replying in email right now but will get u those links soon for stock icons - i wanna try your method there!

u are doing a wonderful job on stocks. u should stick with it! if u visit my journal u will find many stock icons that i have made as well as a few simple stock tuts. just use the tags. id love if u came for a visit. my name is my icon journal.
