Tonight was tiring! I forgot how shitty it can be to close the restaurant. I hate having to do other people’s work, because they are lazy asses; however, it was fun hanging out with my managers for a while. They invited me to this open bowling thing tomorrow at Brighton Bowl, because a new league is starting. I think I might go, but it depends on what goes down tomorrow. Being on a bowling league with them would be a lot of fun, and it is every other Sunday, so it would fit into my schedule. It would especially be great to see Shanna, because her last day at the Star was today, and I wont get to see her very often anymore. On another up note, I was able to see some of my good friends this weekend. Last night Rachelle, Obe, and I went to see “The Grudge”. The movie wasn’t bad, especially for the time of the year it is, being near Halloween and all. (Seeing Texas Chainsaw Massacre last year was better.) I did enjoy watching Rachelle squirm in her chair and plug her ears. It’s always fun to see girls get scared by stuff. After that we met up with an old work mate, Holly, and her friend. We went to champs and I had a beer, and they all wanted to go get drunk, so we headed over to Rachelle’s. Justin came over (with the weed) and all of us got sufficiently intoxicated. They played a little pool, but I just enjoyed sitting and chatting with my friends. As I turn back to today’s events, I was able to spend some time with April. It’s great to have her in town. I love the fact that she is 5 minutes away, rather than an hour and a half. I just wish it could be that way all the time. Hopefully I will get to see her again for a while tomorrow, before I go have dinner with my family and she heads back up to Mt. Pleasant (congrats on your job again, I am excited for you! I hope you love it at the Buckle!). As for upcoming events… Obe and Jenn are having a birthday celebration in Canada two weekends from now, which should rock the casbah! Also, I was delighted to hear from Greg recently. He called to wish me a happy birthday, and to make sure that we get to hang when he comes back at the end of the month. I am taking a two-week sabbatical from work in order to get some personal shit taken care of (nothing serious, just average stuff) and also to wait and see if the new General Manager that is coming to Lone Star will turn the place around. If it continues to be shitty there, I will have no choice but to pack up my good looks and flaunt them at some other Steak House (just kidding, I am not very good looking and too fat, and I know it. However, I have lost 12 pounds on the atkins diet, which is a step in the right direction.) For now, I am fucking tired, so I am going to bed. I hope the Lions win tomorrow, but they probably wont! Even more I hope my fantasy team wins! I am on a roll, but I don’t know how this week will turn out. I am a little worried, but that’s half the fun. Keep it real, homies!
