So Styx wanted me to upload these so she could see them, which is... pretty much the only reason why the first two are up here. I really dislike them, conceptually speaking. It's just a headswap between Aoko and Cassis and then Jing and Kid, and I didn't even modify the stylistic elements enough to make them look that different -- Jing looks almost ( Read more... )

Huh, really? I don't mind how Kaito came out that much, but Jing bothers me for so many reasons, most of them conceptual. I just cringe when I look at it. I'm usually much better with my creativity. I need to come up with proper backstory for both of them and then try again. (It doesn't help that Kumakura and Gosho's styles and design and method of storytelling are all wildly different from one another, and finding a way to mesh them is stumping me so bad.)

.....Funny, my sister mentioned that exact tutorial while I was drawing them.

It's more of a Kaito expression than a Jing one, really, but as you haven't read DC/MK you couldn't really know that, I suppose. In any case, thank you! I'm glad about the vivid part, I wasn't even aiming for that.
