Mom: So I was looking at your facebook page today...
Me: Yeah?
Mom: Who's Hanna, and why does she look like a boy?
Me: Wait, who?
Mom: Your classmate
Me: I don't have a classmate named Hanna, Mom.
Mom: Yes you do! She's the redheaded one!
Me: Umm...
Mom: I feel really bad, though--everyone posts on her wall saying that she's a dude! That's no way to treat someone, just because she's a lesbian. I do have to wonder why'd she go to a school for fashion...
Me: Mom, Hanna's not real. "Hanna Is Not a Boy's Name" is a webcomic; that was a profile for one of the characters.
Mom: Oh...why are you reading comics about lesbians in fashion school?
