Goodbye August
Welps, August is like over. I figured I would reminisce and refer back to my checklist to see if I had accomplished what I wanted to accomplish. This is what I had at the beginning of the month:
1. Read The Godfather
2. Read The Last Full Measure
3. Read The Da Vinci Code (and understand it)
4. Read Mystic River
5. Read Les Miserables and write the essay.
6. Read Reading Lolita in Tehran and write the essay.
7. Re-learn the whole year of chemistry by studying the DVC textbook.
8. Run some cross-country.
9. Score some goals in soccer tournaments.
10. Learn to play tennis again.
Okay, I haven't started the Godfather.
I read the Last Full Masure, and The Da Vinci Code.
I didn't buy Mystic River; instead, I bought House of Sand and Fog - I'm reading that right now.
I finished Les Mis.
I am still reading Reading Lolita (it's better than most people say, and it's better than i thought it would be).
I've started studying chemistry again.
I did run some cross country.
I did play some soccer tournaments, but I did not score any goals.
I hate tennis - I suck too much to learn to play again, plus I didn't have enough time. So I gave up on that.
Hey, not bad. Got like...a few things done (not quite enough), lots of work in progress (little too much work), but at least I've started everything (yay!). Yea, this hasn't been the most productive month. But I have done a lot of practicing on Rococo and all, done some college research, and made good road on the piano. So i'm pretty happy with August.
Only thing is - I have a shit load to do for English. Yikes!
