GUESS WHAT?
w00t, so I totally didn't get into any college that I wanted to, except for UC's, but that's like - meh, wutever dude.
Anyway, with regard to my previous post - most of it's true - it's the dark side of Stepho. Sad story huh? Bah, wutever dude; let's say we just put that personality on the shelf for a while.
So help me decide for COLLEGE, yo.
I got into UCLA with some money (5500 per year!) cuz of the Regents Scholarship. It's currently at the top of my list, but only if that cello professor dude that everyone talks about, Mr. Lysy, would give me lessons and let me play in the music major orchestra. Wow, I sure am asking a lot huh - but yea, something about music has to be there (aiya, too bad i'm probly not good enough, lol), or else I'll reconsider.
I mean, second and third choices (this is a tie) are UCBerkeley and Johns Hopkins! Bah, iono...Berkeley's cool cuz it's Berkeley, DUDE, so I guess I'm down with that. And then there's Johns Hopkins. Sure, it's a legit school - but is it worth the Ivy-League Tuition? I just don't know. Besides, I already know I'm not going into the Medical Field, even though I'll stay close in the sciences...So who knows? Ah, but what about the possibilities of LESSONS at PEABODY? I hear that, as a music minor at jhu, lessons and ensembles are permitted with cross-registration. But yet again, is it WORTH THE UBER DINERO?
Gonna go visit these schools soon! Perhaps play for Mr. Lysy as well! Damn - what a shame that I still SUCK at cello. Koolkat I am, lol. And dude, UC education has the potential to be SO TITE. Kickin it with all my old friends! Gosh - just cuz I ain't cool enough to get into an IVY School, maybe it'll be for the better! Bah, I'll stick through with my three flipping waitlists till the end, but STILL - Berkeley and LA are legit, yo.
And yet again, I do wish I had been smart enough to get into a top school. NEXT TIME! And, ahem, if you would like an explanation for my hyperly happy mood today, well...you can ask me LATER.
