Edward Ferrars on his way to Barton Cottage towards the end of the book.  With a view to proposing to Elinor, of course, when everybody thought he was by now married to Lucy Steele.

This is another personal favourite of the Sense and Sensibility illustrations I did for Palazzo.  Sadly, the published illustration itself is more than a little disappointing, to judge from the colour proofs I received.  The reproduction is quite poor.

Again, I thought I would show some progress stages for this too.  This was rather unusual in that I painted just one area to near-completion before continuing with the rest of the illustration, rather than working on its entirety progressively, as I did with Willoughby and Marianne.





I almost wanted to leave it at that!
