I Forgot This One
I forgot this one. But I was reminded of it by a friend's journal entry. Its lateness is also curiously appropriate, I think, considering its subject. This was my Christmas card for 2007. It is more than usually mediocre and rather poorly executed. I'm afraid that was a bad year for me. And a particularly wretched Christmas.
The poem by Phyllis McGinley retells one variant of the Italian legend of La Befana, one of Italy's gift givers. This was, like the cards for 2005 and 2006, reproduced on A4 card and folded concertinawise into thirds.
I never quite managed to find time to do Christmas cards after this one, which is why there isn't one for 2008 or this year.
