Well I have decided that it is about time I updated this because well a lot has happened.
For starters, I am finished with my first year at U of M! Only 3 (cough 3.5) more years to go! It was so stressful but very friend. I am incredibly happy to be home but come August I know that I will be equally happy to go back to Ann Arbor. I am also extremely excited for my classes next semester. I think that now that I know for sure what I want to do I'll be able to worry less and put more enthusiasm behind everything. I am however facing drama with next semester already. I have some confusion in the admissions office about my dual enrollment and oh yeah getting a parking space in Ann Arbor...HAHAHAHA
Work has been absolutely ridiculous. Everything has changed this season and I am convinced now, more than ever, that Susan Schmidt is not a human being. She is not even humanoid. She is a black hole of evil. A skeleton clopping around the kitchens in translucent heels. A whickety-whack tickety-tack bitch who wears coats made out of muppets and mountain lions. I have gotten a lot closer to Marie though. Marie is one of the coolest people I have ever met in my life. She has so many interesting stories ranging from seeing exhibitionists having sex in a Kroger parking lot to her days as a little girl growing up with communists in East Germany. Lyndsey and I have much more in common than I realized and it scares me...a lot. But I've enjoyed talking to her more lately too. We have way too many people. Too many host greets, bussers, and especially servers. We should not have hired anyone new and only Chris deserved to be promoted. People need to pay their dues first and that's all I'm saying. Schedule source is also full of shit but it makes me so angry that I don't want to mention it anymore. EVANS COMING OUT OF HIS SHELL. And here's a taste of everyone's favorite host greet Nora:
Presenter (to little boy): And do you know what that little oven was for?
Boy: BREAD
Nora (under breath): No...Holocaust practice!
Presenter: YES and then the ashes went down the ash hole!
Nora: Easy clean up
Henry Ford's spirit is everywhere.
So I'm very excited about the shows coming to Detroit within the next year and a half. I'm seriously thinking about subscribing. No one ever wants to go with me so I might as well buy a seat for the entire season, a seat that I want and just go by myself. If I get an economic stimulus check I'm definitely going for the premium seats because I have nothing else to spend my money on.
What else can I talk about...? I'm hopelessly addicted to "Top Chef" and "Project Runway" starts back up in July!
Justin and Ashley's reception was a lot of fun. Always about the food and dancing and hopefully they'll like the present we got them. My cousin's getting married in August but I have a feeling it will be much less fun. Although it's the side of my family that I actually like, I feel like I can never just let loose and be myself. Plus my cousins hate me and I'll have no one to dance with. PLUS that's the day the new Stephenie Meyer book comes out and I'll probably just want to read that. If you have a problem with the fact that I read those books than I will hunt the world for real vampire, befriend it, and tell it to kill you.
Well I'm bored with this so I'm going to go. Talk to some of you later. The rest I hardly ever see so that sucks. KBeyez
