AME no Jidai : Making History
i was super excited for the longest time for this event. even though the preparation was really haggard, i think everyone deserves a pat on the back for a good job. ^__^
new venue=aircon + breathing space. XD the theme was really exciting, especially for culture enthusiasts like me. i was so happy to see everyone in their kimonos, yukatas and haoris.... it was really like stepping back in time. haha! my outfit was so furry and gay. lol at me doing a lot of people's make-up. earle was awesome. he tied almost everyone's obis... such power... XD everyone was just so pretty~! it's just too bad that i don't have much pics of the ame peepz in costume.. i was going around pimping our booth and in the process got a lot of pics of other people (and a lot of customers for our booth, too~! yay fortune-telling booth!!! woot~!) and occasionally becoming a sudden runner. the sizzling pepper steak people were lulz. the cow was awesome. XD the booths were all amazing, and people kept on coming back to the booth where i belong (haha, fortune booth rocks!!!XD) for just three reasons: 1) they keep on getting misfortunes and would want to get at least one lucky fortune; 2) for the lulz; or 3) to get more misfortunes. haha!! mukha ngang aliw na aliw sila sa misfortunes... XD benta din yung fish booth. i saw a lot of people with goldfish. XD and by gosh, benta talaga sakin yung pangalang AMERIENDA. lol. the ringtoss and dart booths were also crowded. and of course, the tea room was awesome. ^__^ i lulz at the dubbing competition. a lot of them were really funny! XD but then there were fewer cosplayers than usual, one of the reasons for this being the hero con which will be held on monday. but still, there were a lot of cool and awesome cosplayers. i lulz at the peashooter and michael jackson. XD loved the mecha even if i'm not much of a fan of the genre. the huge robots were amazing. i helped at the stage area in the cosplay competition, since they looked like they needed an extra hand. even if it was haggard, i had fun with the head-set with 3-way communication with sean and fra (and sometimes niqo, airis or qb since the people on the other side of the stage were always changing). it was a novel thing for me. XD anyway,after the cosplay competition, we had the bands. all of them were awesome. neji was amazing, as always with dykromatic. ^__^ and... harakiri jiro~ kyaaaan<3 then the winners were announced. had a short meeting for some announcements and cleaned up after. hehe
i saw a lot of 3sam peepz, and we took pics. XD a basta. XD i also saw all of my buddies except eri (who was not feeling well and stayed home) and those who are not in the philippines to begin with (mic and szusza). XD some alumni were there as well. haha, it was a screamfest whenever i'd see someone whom i haven't seen in a long time. XD lol danix. XD
left the venue with wigi, airis, pchan and claire in wigi's van. wigi's parents are so nice. grabe, super nakakahiya... hinatid pa nila kami all the way to our destinations despite our protests. >__< stayed at airis' house and watched eka drink with jason and cha. we ate a bit and brushed our teeth before going up and talking about... stuff. lol. and then we slept. thanks for having me, bb~! <3
as usual, the event was tiring, exhausting, insert whatever synonym you can find here, etc... and my back really hurt from being forced into a single posture (the obi was really tight lol. i may complain about the pain, but i wouldn't have it any other way since it looked so awesome. XD) . my feet hurt from the combination of: the epic hardness of the zori, the running around and having my toes stepped on by a lot of people. but even so, it was all worth it. people are saying that they really enjoyed the event, and that's enough for me forget the tiredness momentarily. ame no jidai is a success in its own right. so thank you to all of the people who attended to make it possible. and congratulations, UP AME~ happy birthday~! IKE IKE AME!!!! OSU OSU AME!
