Gaaah, it's 5am......>
Omg, why the hell am I awake at 5am? CRAMPS. Sometimes I really hate being female.
So, anyway, haven't posted in a while. I've actually been pretty busy. I suddenly made the decision that I will be going back go Baylor next semester, but I've changed my major from Asian Studies to Psychology, but Asian Studies is still my minor. It's kind of a compromise with my mother, but I do really like psychology. I'll probably have to go an extra semester, but since I took this one off it's not really an extra one. Just that my graduation gets delayed until December of next year instead of May.
I hope.
So yeah, I found an apartment. I really hope I don't get gypped, but it seems like everything is all worked out and everything.
After I found the apartment I helped out for the Japanese Spring Festival, and that took up a bunch of time, but it was really fun. It was so much better than last year. It makes me both happy and sad. Happy, because I love that something I helped start continued on even without me there, but sad because I didn't really have a hand in it and it really was SO MUCH BETTER than last years.
I had a few days of free time after the festival, but then I had to go back home and immediately begin preparing for a baby shower. My cousin's girlfriend is having a baby, and they threw the shower at our house, which meant literally almost two weeks of cleaning. We had to clean all the rooms and then scrub the floors and the baseboards and the furniture. And we had carpet cleaners come in. Also, I had to do a crap load of gardening, including planting and weeding and mowing and trimming. UGH. I was weeding one day and I totally got stabbed by the palm tree in the front. DAMN THING HAS FOUR INCH SPIKES ON IT!!! NOT JOKING. I was bleeding all over the place. And I don't think my parents have tended the garden in at least a year. Because omg, the weeds were like a forest. And there were TONS of fire ants. ;___;
On top of that, I've been shopping and buying things for the apartment, as well as playing Taxi Girl for the family, which ALWAYS happens to me when I'm in Houston. It's like they hear I'm in town so they circle me like vultures. "Ooooh, she's back, TAKE ME TO THE MALL AUNTIE!" "TAKE ME TO THE DOCTORS!" "BTW I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT IN 20MIN CAN YOU TAKE ME?!" "GO TO THE GROCERY STORE FOR ME" "CAN YOU DRIVE ME TO THE BANK?" "GO GET DINNER" "GO GET LUNCH"
OMG SHOOT ME. Seriously. I had to take my niece to the mall to get her eighth grade dance dress, but she ended up hating it, so I had to take her to take it back and get another one. And then she changed her mind about THAT dress too, so I had to take her BACK TO THE MALL to get another one. In my head, I was yelling "YOU SPOILED BRAT, JUST PICK A DRESS AND STICK WITH IT" but I would never say that to her. Well, yeah I would. She's 13 and just like her mother, so she's picky and her tastes are expensive. I was completely different from her at that age, though, so she drives me insane.
Also, my nephew is living with us and he's become my little brother. Seriously. My only sibling is my sister who is 14 years older than me, so I never really had a sibling growing up because she was already gone from the house by the time I could really remember. But now, being with my nephew is kind of cool. He's 9 years younger than me, so less of an age gap than with my own sister. And we definitely pick on each other and prank each other and chase each other around the house and everything. I definitely don't act my 21 years of age, lol.
Unfortunately, this also means I have a 12 year old to take care of whenever he comes home from school, and he's always whining about how hungry he is and OMG WHY DO BOYS EAT SO MUCH FOOD?! But, I totally got him hooked on dramas, LOL! He keeps bugging me like "When can we watch Bloody Monday?!" or "I wanna watch Rescue!!" He was so bored the other day he even sat through an episode of Kami no Shizuku, LOL.
I've also got both my niece and my nephew hooked on Korean music. Oh, and my sister too. :D Super Junior, Big Bang, DBSK, and 2pm, to be more specific. My niece has Purple Line as her ring tone for her mom (LMAO)and she's always asking me to play Big Bang. And both my niece and nephew love Sorry Sorry by Super Junior. I have a tendency to apologize more than once, like 'oh, sorry, sorry, my bad' and every time I do it they break out in song. It drives my mom insane, lol.
So yeah, that's basically what I've been up to.
OH, BTW. I LOVE NEWS' new single. Not just Koi no ABO, even though that has to be the most awesome disco song EVER, but the whole single. OPEN YOUR EYES makes me think of the wild west in the beginning though, lol! Just listen to the intro! But Labyrinth is freaking awesome!! Ahhh, I love NEWS a lot.
OH! And Kanjani8's PUZZLE! OMG OHKURA YOU SEXY BEAST! I think I'm converting all of my friends into Ohkura fans. :) I really like the album, and all of their solo songs, even Maru's crazy wanshan ronpin thing and subaru's piano piece, lol. It's definitely am album with a different feel to it.
Dramas I'm watching this season: Smile, Atashinchi no Danshi, Ghost Friends, and Konkatsu (oh Ueda, I love you to bits). I also want to watch Godhand Teru.
Ahh, I do miss Waco. How weird is that? But all of my friends are there and none of them are in Houston. Sad.
