Let the audience in, let my opera begin!

This weekend was full to the max of marching band but things went suprisingly well; on Saturday we won our Homecoming game against Delaware, 35-31.  They are the 5th ranked team in the nation!!!  I'm still in shock over that one.  I hate football, but even I have to say it was a pretty amazing game.  Afterwards there were fireworks, and it was just a really cool experience to be there with so many other students with all that school spirit and good ol' marching band playing our fight song.  On Sunday there was a collegiate band festival in Allentown, PA.  It kind of sucked that we got there only 20 min. before we had to perform because it's no fun to be rushed, but overall I think the show went pretty well.  I felt like I had a good performance and there was a lot of energy.  It's also good to play to a more receptive crowd than the drunken assholes at our football games who don't give a shit about our fieldshow.

Tonight was my first ever COB event that I planned as COB coordinator- a musical movie night!  It was sooo much fun- we watched Phantom of the Opera which is always a good choice, and there were 7 potential new members who came!  That was exciting in itself, but then after the event we had a meeting and decided to offer bids to Lindsay M. and Lindsey D. and.... they both accepted!!!!!!!  I'm sooo excited that along with the girls we already had and Steph coming back plus our COB girls, we're up to a pledge class of 5!  And we're just getting started, woot!  I think that this calls for a "booty-pop of excitement" lol- Justine and Carly know what that's about.

Ooo and if that wasn't already too much excitement to handle, now I've purchased tix for Wicked and I'm going to see it Jan. 4th at the Kennedy center, 1st tier, row B!  Aghaghaahaghah!  It is one of my greatest ambitions to see Wicked and I'm psyched that I'm finally going to get to see it!
