OCHOSI
The Archer, Lord of the Bow and Arrow. To know Ochosi is to know the movement of the arrow into prey and the whistle of the arrow in flight. He is the transference of energy over a distance, and His is the speed of light, sound and thought, though he is not merely though, he is the stroke of instant understanding or realization. Ochosi is the Hunter-Wizard, skilled in the use of magickal potions and poisons, silent, dangerous and possessed of a cool, calm, sharp intelligence. He is the calculated extension of the mind, the Tracker, the Ranger, and he governs the changing of the seasons, stealth, guerilla warfare, and He alone acts as a buffer and shield between reason and insanity. He is the protector of children, the weak, the helpless, and the aged. His ofrenda is the soft shea he shares with Obatala, forest herbs, and sprucewood arrow shafts.

Yeah, I copied the entire description. It's not horribly long, and I want to learn more about non-Greek mythology (because that's what I learned in school). Anyway.

I like this scent. It goes on sweet-woody-slightly green, and it dries down to...well, it smells warm. That's about the only way I can think to describe it. It's not sweet, it's not floral or fruity or herbal or really even recognizable. It's just a pleasant, warm scent. It almost seems spicy, but not quite. I will definitely use up the imp, and then decide if it's a bottle scent. I wonder how long it'll last on my skin. It's light, so I'm guessing not too long.

I've got so many imps that require day-long testing, but at the same time I really want to see exactly how many uses I get from an imp, so I'm tempted to pick an imp and just wear it every day until it's done. Of course, I only put it on my wrists, and maybe a swipe on my collarbone if it's a scent I really like. I've read on the forums about people using an entire imp in a single application! DAMN.

I woke up tired today, which is odd because I went to bed early last night. Probably my 2-hour night Monday is catching up to me, because I wasn't really tired yesterday. I really need to get back off my soda habit, because I'm sure that's not helping me sleep.

And I really need to knit. I haven't for a while. I think the last time was when Russ and I watched The Two Towers Friday night and I worked on my entrelac stole. I haven't had socks with me for travel projects because the bus is too damn crowded to have room to knit.

I should really clean my desk right now.
