Sprink's random thoughts Part 4 (IchiRuki vs. IchiHime Part1)
I posted this on a Bleach forum for an IchiRuki vs. Ichihime debate they were having, and I thought I'd share it here as well.
So I started with watching the Bleach anime, but I've always loved IchiRuki.
When I first watched it, I always saw Rukia as the heroine. She was the first woman in Bleach that I saw Ichigo interact with the most. Since she came into his room, helped save his family, gave him her powers, but then couldn't go home so she lived in his closet, I knew that these two would go further than just friends.
I loved their little interactions whether it was just punching/kicking or bickering/yelling at each other, it was just too cute<3.
Besides that, Ichigo and Rukia have grown with each other so well since their first encounter. Ever since the "Memories in the rain" chapters, they share a very strong bond. They both lost someone that they couldn’t protect. They've known each other only for two months, yet they call each other by their first name.
They might not have mushy moments where they blush or say out of the blue say “I love you.”, but the moments they have are very subtle, yet special.
Quotes like “Now I know the reason I wanted to save you so badly...Rukia because of you the rain in my heart has stopped.” I mean that has to stand for something. Rukia has changed Ichigo’s DESTINY. Someone like that cannot just be called “a friend.”
I don’t think they know where their relationship stands right now, but they know that they are more than friends; or at least as Kubo stated “More than friends, less than lovers.” To me means that their relationship is still growing and they are still trying to figure out their true feelings.
As for IchiHime, to be honest, when I first found a fanclub for IchiRuki I was not expecting to see any for IchiHime AT ALL. As I didn’t think IchiHime even existed...
To me Orihime was just a girl that had a crush on Ichigo, but could never reach him the way Rukia does. (It's kind of like the girl who loves this guy even though they know he's in love with someone else, but just won't let go. xD) Anyway, she always talked about wanting to know him, understand him more, and get closer to him, but failed at every attempt. The only info she got on him at first was from Tatsuki, but even from that it doesn’t seem like Orihime and Ichigo have a very solid relationship at all. Orihime herself knows this. (Which is why she says she’s even jealous of Rukia.) They call each other by their last name and every time they have a conversation, which is not very often, Ichigo couldn’t be more oblivious to Orihime much less to her feelings.
And not to burst any IchiHime shippers’ bubble >< but I don’t see anything romantic b/w Inoue and Ichigo at all, besides the fact that Orihime claims that she loves him...but so far this is only a one-sided relationship. I haven’t seen Ichigo show any romantic feelings towards Inoue, ever.

I just don't understand how people can say "If someone is in love with another person, then that means that somone deserves to be with that person." or "Because this person went through so much, she deserves to be with the one she loves." (LOLOLOL) when that's not the way love works at all. It deeply, truly deeply irks me to hear that. Many believe that just because Orihime loves Ichigo, it means that she should be with Ichigo. But what kind of nonsense is that? Have you ever received love in return from all the crushes you had through highschool or life? Seriously, if you're going to think that immaturely about it, because you're that desperate to find the lamest excuse you can think of in the book for your pairing..then good luck to you.
I don't know what kind of relationship Ichigo and Orihime supposedly have that Rukia and Ichigos' relationship can't top. Whether you want to use an excuse and say you see the IchiRuki relationship as friends or not, you can't deny the fact that she was the FIRST woman in Bleach introduced to Ichigo, and the ONLY woman that has changed his world for the better..and the ONLY woman that UNDERSTANDS HIS HEART.
And how foolish can you get to deny their relationship/meeting as destiny, when kubo has said/wrote it himself? And yes, Kubo is the author of Bleach, not you.
I know many people have their preferances, but there are some, no matter what, who like to deny straight facts even if it was thrown right in front of them, which it has been.
To IchiHime shippers:
Has Ichigo shown any romantic feelings towards Inoue? As in has he ever singled her out of the group his of nakama? Or does he treat her like he would any of them?
What about Rukia? Is she just another friend to him, or does she have some sentimental meaning in his life?
