Pets

I may end up getting a cat by the end of the month; this is quite a feat because my Dad has a VERY strong dislike for cats and my mom doesn't like the idea of one running around the house.

This cat has been on our property on and off for a while but she has been, as far as we can tell, exclusively on our property for the past week. Mostly she hangs around our sitting area in the woods; she has a tree that she likes to lay at the base of. There is a very good chance that she's a drop off seeing as how I live in a rural area. This picture was taken a few weeks ago, and ever since she showed up again this past week she is noticeably thinner. She as a pretty pronounced dip in-between where her ribs end and her back hips, and you can clearly feel her backbone when you pet her. But just in case I'm going to put up flyers in my neighborhood saying "Hey if this is your cat let us know so we are aware that she does have a home." She is very friendly but she has some dry skin on her head that itches her; there is a possibility that it's head mites, but I don't think so.

The first time I saw her walking towards me the name "Spooks" popped into my head and that is what she has been dubbed. But despite my Dad's strong dislike of cats, he was the first one to feed her after she had been at the house for several days. And I wont let him forget it either. ^___^
