*reluctantly gets to his feet and strides over to Rue's vicinity, still keeping some distance from her, but speaking in a tone that others could not overhear* ...If that's supposed to be your sorry attempt at a Blasting Charm, you're hardly going to be able to cast it.

*Rue is surprised by Fakir's voice, having been entirely focused on the diagram in her Charms book trying to demonstrate the wand movement. When she recovers, however, she gives him a quite cold look.* I don't need you critiquing my wand movements, Fakir. I wouldn't be doing this if not for Mytho, anyway.

*Although Rue is very sour at Fakir being there at all, the thought does cross her mind...Fakir does know about Kyro, so were he to ask why she was attempting the spell when she hadn't been taught it, she could be honest. Getting help from Fakir definitely didn't equate to Rue as being something she'd like to do, but Kyro needing her help had placed her into a bit of a corner, and as much as she hated to admit it, she could use any bit of help she could get if she wanted to keep Mytho out of trouble. That was, of course, what came first in Rue's mind. Plus, it wasn't like Ahiru could help her, and she was practically the only other who knew about Kyro in this school...so Fakir unfortunately was Rue's only real choice.*

*Grudgingly Rue quietly puts on the most off-hand voice, but still ends up sounding rather annoyed all the same.* I suppose you can do better?

*his scowl deepens at her reply, turning to leave* Hmph. 'If not for Kyro', you mean. But if you're so damn sure of your--

*breaks off and stops at her sudden comment, his eyebrows furrowing at her tone, but otherwise pausing. If he didn't know any better, he'd think the big bad bitch was actually asking for assistance. Huh. He turns back around, sending her a look that properly reflected his displeasure at having to help her with the task* Hn. It isn't difficult.

*pulls out his wand, pointing at an empty bottle of ink someone had left on the table, flicking the wand towards him and then in an reverse C-shape while saying aloud:* Confringo! *the ink bottle then shatters, and he shoots her a sideways glance, inwardly pondering why the hell he constantly ended up stuck with her* ...I hope you were paying attention.

*Rue had been a bit surprised that Fakir knew she was doing all of this to cover for Kyro; then, of course, she recalls her entry, and makes a mental note to secure it more thoroughly later.
She watches his wand movement carefully, before silently trying to imitate it herself a couple of times, trying to get the feel for it.

And it is then, most unfortunately, as Fakir speaks and Rue, with her wand arm extended, glances at him with mirrored irritation, that foreign words comes to Rue's mind, and she half-sings, half-mutters,* This is weird.

*Blinking when she mutters something, in a half-grumbling, half-singing tone slightly louder than hers, similar words tumble out of his mouth unbidden* It's weird.

*lowers her wand arm, closing her eyes in frustration, as she sang through her teeth* Very weird.

*crosses his arms over his chest, looking equally annoyed* Fucking weird.

*gets to her feet, her fists clenched, suddenly getting the unexplained urge to just burst out,* I'm so mad that I don't know what to do!
Fighting to work a spell,
Feeling so less-than-well,
And to top it all off...

*turns and gives Fakir a fierce glare* I'm with you!

*sends her an almost knowing glance, his narrowed eyes displaying his irritation at this familiar situation* Feel like going insane?

*His words make anger bubble up inside of her. He doesn't know anything about her relationship with Kyro...hell, it's not like he treated Kyro at all nicely. Although her next words aren't sung, they are spoken on cue with the song she and Fakir had started.* You're wrong!
