Reflection 39

She buys a new dress for the party-
She always looks good in red-
Turns around in front of the mirror,
And disappears inside of her head...
She wonders if he'll even remember;
She asked him in a casual way...
Just in case he didn't want to go with her,
In that event, she knew just what she would say...
She thought of maybe asking a girlfriend,
Even though ( Read more... )

Watching from around the corner, he couldn't help but feel moved from everything he's witnessed when it comes to the subject at hand. He would always have a soft spot for Rue and her unrequited feelings for Mytho were just so obvious to read. Rue had never been good at hiding her feelings...

"Pretty girl is suffering,
while he confesses everything
Pretty soon she'll figure out
what his intentions were about

And that's what you get for falling again
you can never get him outta your head
And that's what you get for falling again
you can never get him outta your head

Its the way that he makes you feel
its the way that he kisses you
its the way that he makes you fall in love

She's beautiful as usual
with bruises on her ego and
her killer instinct tells her to
be aware of evil men

And that's what you get for falling again
you can never get him outta your head
And that's what you get for falling again
you can never get him outta your head

My pretty girl...

Pretty girl is suffering
while he confesses everything
pretty soon she'll figure out
you can never get him outta your head

its the way that he makes you cry
its the way that he's in your mind
its the way that he makes you fall in love

Its the way that he makes you feel
its the way that he kisses you
its the way that he makes you fall in love, love..."

*Rue knew she could never fool Howl; with how well he knew her, it was to be expected he'd get it, really. Rue was torn between trying to hide her pain and wanting to talk, and it was apparent with the next song to come from her lips.*

I am not a child now; I can take care of myself;
Mustn't let them down now...
Mustn't let them see me cry...
I'm fine...I'm fine.

I'm too tired to listen;
I'm too old to believe
All these childish stories...
There is no such thing as faith and trust and pixie dust...

I try, but it's so hard to believe;
I try, but I can't see what you see...
I try...I try...I try.

(("I'll Try," from Peter Pan II: Return to Neverland.))

Smiling at the raven haired girl's attempt at covering her feelings, he couldn't help but know in the end, everything would turn out all right. He believed in her and would always be there by her side, supporting and encouraging her every step of the way.

"Liberty, this is our destiny
As long as we are keeping our dignity
As long as we are keeping our pride
We can all build a new history
Feeling like something has set me free
Knowing I belong in the tribe

I believe, you and I
Live together with the guiding light
Abe Messaih, eeya~!
I'll be there for you, night and day,
Abe Messaih, eeya~!
Ohh ohh, just look this way.

I can dream, my heart is telling me
I can see, this world of love and peace
I can bring, the end of lies
We will find, building together dreams
We will find, we can do anything
Now is the time for us to celebrate
Now is the time to realize

I believe, you and I
Live together in the guiding light
Abe Messiah, eeya~!
I'll be there for you, night and day,
Abe Messiah, eeya~!
Ohh ohh, just look this way..."

(OOC: Lyrics from "Abe Messiah," from Tribeworld.com. It was the opening theme song to a really nify Kiwi show I used to watch growing up. Some how, the lyrics reminded me of the kind of support only Howl would be able to give.)
