Y'know, I was not happy to see the commercials for Teen Titans Go! Nothing about the previews looked appealing, to say nothing of the animation style and of the glimpses I caught of the characterizations. Even so, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and watched a part of the premiere episode.
...I say "part" because I just could not stomach it and turned it off halfway through. It was like watching a badly written fanfic playing out across my screen - you know, one of those things that no matter how bad it gets you can't make yourself look away from it. Everyone was ridiculously OOC, the plot was terrible, and everyone was just...just....UGHHH.
I get it. The Teen Titans that came out before this one was darker because of Slade (aka Deathstroke), not to mention Raven's whole story arc and Terra's death; there were also some pretty heavy hitting things going on during some of the episodes. And maybe I'm spoiled because I grew up with this Teen Titans first:

I can stomach the OOCness of all the other characters, but no matter what the incarnation RAVEN DOES NOT PLAY WITH PONIES. It's like making Kaiba a brony - not happening, in other words.
