Click to viewSo there was like this moment of huge confusion that I went through the first two times I watched the MV before I found a subbed version because I didn't understand how she already knew the guy if she was going back in time or if he was dead or something and he could only be brought back to life if she went back but disappeared and it was just a whole lot of ;A;WAEDON'TUNDERSTAND coupled with my brain-dead state after watching the TM teaser which happened to be released the same time IU's MV was.
But then after I now know what she's singing about, it's pretty clear that she goes forward in time because she wants to be able to meet the boy who'll only wake up when she's an adult. And Good Day was lovely and all for me, but even though these two MVs are similar, I liked this one a lot better. I just like the song better, the colors and schemes better, the plot better, and the theme better. I love the theme of how even though you're impatient when you're young, you have to wait it through or else you might miss an important meeting or event that you might regret. IU is crying and worried in the time machine because she realizes she might not meet the boy in the future.
And then the whole message of how, if it's meant to be then it'll happen. T^T I love that so much, and this song makes me want to write. Probably something short and DooSeob. I don't know. I can't wait for her comeback even though I know no one will be available to spazz with me because you'll all be too busy screaming over Seung and Hyuna :( (which I, admittedly, will be doing too).
