Guess who's back?

Well, I'm back in the States. I wonder how long I will keep saying the States. "Karyn is so hot. I think the Judge wants to marry her, I am so jealous. She has the Judge, Jason and her own husband..." HEE! That's what KPB is saying behind me as she sees me update LJ. Hilarious she is. "That darn Karyn!" Haha. Bye RS and KPB. They've left the office. Anyway, so I am back in the States and everything is fine and I am just a tiny bit tired. Hmmm...what's this "autosave" function they've got going here. Does that mean I won't lose this entry if i

Haha. Not quite perfect, but it's a good function to have. This is what I missed: "Does that mean I won't lose this entry if it closes? I dunno. Let me see..."

Okay, done with that. I am jetlagged, but not too much. The rest of my trip was pretty good. I didn't get to stay at a hotel, but I did get to stay at our family friend's penthouse apt, which was I think more awesome than a hotel in the basic fact that it was gorgeous and I didn't have to pay anything vs. paying $400 for something similarly gorgeous. And I wouldn't have to deal with possible Secret Service agents in the next hotel rooms. Yes, George W. is the reason the rooms were so full and expensive. He is about to be in Hyderabad and in preparation, both the hotel he's staying at and the hotel I wanted to stay at are overbooked and incredibly expensive. No last minute deals b/c they've filled the rooms. Boo. Another reason to hate the President. Anyway, so I stayed at the penthouse apt and went out to another club that was in the hotel I wanted to stay at. The lounge was awesome looking, just really fantasically decorated. It was also filled with non-Indian people - Hey! Maybe those guys were Secret Service guys! I didn't think of that, but I remember all of us thinking they definitely didn't look like Microsoft dudes - they were a lot more buff. And they only talked to the other non-Indians - they hit on the two white girls at the next table, but they ultimately didn't get anywhere, b/c I saw them alone when the club closed. The club wasn't as fun as the last club tho. The people were prettier and more fashionable and all that, but it was kind of boring and the music sucked a lot. And the drinks were much harder to get. And there was no hookah. That first club was awesome.

The trip home was okay - well no, it kind of sucked. But it wasn't horrible to travel alone. My first flight, I was incredibly nauseous and bloated and had horrible heartburn b/c of eating really heavy Indian food when I first got on the plane at like 4 AM India time. Stupid Hima. And I felt shitty the whole damn flight. But the Amsterdam airport was nice, even tho I was only there for 1 hour - during which time I of course gambled. But this time I came out $30 ahead - which was great.

Work has been fine, except for all the interview/intern shit I have to do immediately. I had an interview yesterday and today, at times where I feel most jetlagged. Whatever, I do want to be in charge of the intern hiring for the most part, but it's a LOT of work. I liked both people I interviewed this week, I guess. Nothing super great about either of them. Today's was nice and spoke well but - and this is no reason to not hire her - she has a lazy eye. And it's kind of distracting. She is really aware of it too, b/c she doesn't look up a lot. She seems smart tho. I'll probably hire her.

Okay, I am gonna get out of here now. Oh, we sign out now instead of just signing in. That's kind of odd, but it works in my favor b/c I'm always here until late. So I look dedicated! Ha!

Adios.
