Author's Notes: Prompt response to Comic Book Heroes
Marshall’s eyes light up when he recognizes what Robin’s reading.
“Watchmen! Just four more -”
“Enough with the countdown Marshall,” Robin cuts in. “You just want to see Silk Spectre in that clingy outfit…”
“Wha-?”
“And Lily’s only interested because Billy Crudup’s literally naked for most of the film.”
They blush deeply, casting guilty side-glances at each other.
“I forgot to ask…we’re interviewing Billy Crudup tomorrow; you guys wanna come watch the taping?”
There’s a beat, then two long sighs. When Robin looks up, they’re both staring into space, grinning.
Robin smiles, mutters, “Fangirls” and returns to the Black Freighter.

“Rorschach,” Ted declared, “definitely my favorite. He’s…intriguing. Gotta love his mask.”
“While I’m partial to Jon since he has no dependence on corporeal form and experiences time non-linearly, I agree with Ted that Rorschach is somehow more endearing”, said Marshall.
“Mmm, big, blue naked guy,” mumbled Lily.
“Ozymandias,” said Barney. “What? He’s the smartest - and probably richest - guy in the world! Plus he has that cool…lion - cat-”
“Pussies and head-cases,” interjected Robin. “Now the Comedian - that guy knew about guns, and he never took everything so freaking seriously.”
An hour later, she regretted ever having brought that up.
