Chicago - Tuesday

Before I post my Chicago pics I have to share this which tasabian found yesterday. Oh, how things change. LOL. It was only a year and half ago but to be fair it was pre-AHBL1 which was where I converted to Misha.

Right, Chicago

We started off the morning by walking down to the beach. I had no idea lakes could have beaches. Over here they're all rocky and the lakes are so small you can see across them

We then made our first fandom stop of the day

And if that wasn't funny enough

Next stop was Wrigley Field. Now I'm not a sport person at all but it's one of those things you have to see

On the way to the bus we saw a giant rat. It was a strike of some sort but we weren't really sure

Next was Sears Tower (even I know not to call it Willis Tower) and the next part of copying what the boys did in my fic

Even the inside of the building has random art

And that's where we were heading

I can see now why Jensen gets vertigo in my fic

Of course Jared loves the Skydeck but he takes Jensen back to the hotel and looks after him

Yeah, I'm a geek

It took me a LONG time to psych myself up into standing on that thing. It's pretty scary until you get used to it

Eek!

Afterwards we got cupcakes and I was finally able to try Red Velvet after hearing so much about it from Americans

And we had lunch in The Cheesecake Factory. The inside is like being inside a cake

The lamps look like cupcakes

And the portions are HUGE

I had white chocolate and macademia nut cheesecake with caramel sauce. Nom!

This was only some of the cheesecakes on offer

Then we went to what is possibly the scaries shop I have ever been in. American Girl.

Had to take a photo of this one for flickums

And again

They have a hospital for the dolls!

And a hair salon! With little chairs!

Aww! Angel doll. Castiella ;)

This just made me think of Robot Unicorn Attack

Then we went to a mall that I want to call The Water Tower but I don't know if that's right. Chicagoans?

I liked the glass elevator

And the nifty view from the top

And I don't know what this is but I like it

Final stop. Interestingly this looks nothing like how I imagined it when I was writing it for my fic. For one thing I had it that only two people could fit in a car which is why Jared and Misha argue over who gets to ride with Jensen

And I'm not sure why Jensen gets vertigo up Sears Tower but is fine on this (I should probably stop pointing out all my plot holes really)

Yeah, I'm a dork

They switched on the lights just after we got off
