Nothing is sacred
I have just finished my first Uther/Gaius fic and I lay the blame firmly at the door of takadainmate. Well, I suppose the show itself must bear some of the blame as well.
Actually I wrote the fic last night but reached the conclusion it wasn't actually very good or in character. Watched that wonderful scene from Excalibur tonight and immediately re-wrote the fic and am now happy with the result
And, you know, that Uther/Gaius scene is why Excalibur beats The Moment of Truth as my favourite episode. Moment of Truth is certainly epic in terms of Merlin/Arthur but Excalibur has hints of the epic love of Uther and Gaius as well as having lots of nice Merlin/Arthur moments
