god what a day
Okay so today I went to Holiday World with Alicia, Nickel, Clay, David, Mark, Kat, Fries, and Ariel. I had fun, but I got more than I bargined for I suppose and I guess right now I feel like it wasnt a very good day. Wanna know why? For this one day Im out several HUNDRED dollars and Im a little sick. Also, I lost my glasses in the wave pool (shut up it isnt funny) and I just found out that my cell phone broke too.
To explain the glasses, I was being extra careful all day because last time I went to Ky Kingdom I lost my brand new glasses in Lazy River (fell outta my tube and came up w/o them). So when I was just standing in the wave pool I forgot to take them off. Guess I thought it wasnt necessary and for the most part it wasnt. I could touch the bottom of the pool easily where I was standing so I didnt think anything of it. Well I got hit by a big wave and got tripped up. Im sure you can figure out what happened next because while the life guards were just kinda chilling and watching the scene I was flailing against the waves trying to find up from down so I could get my head above the water again and I lost my glasses.
To explain the cell phone, i was wearing shorts and it was in the bottom of my cargo pocket all day except for when it was in the locker. Im not sure if it got crushed against something in the locker bc we stuffed a backpack and like 3 peoples shit in my locker. Long story short, the screen is cracked.
Im burnt to hell, even though i was wearing sun screen and i can feel every inch of my arms and face burning. Theres a stupid 'burn line' on my face from where my glasses used to be too. great.
Lets see... these are apprx prices but this is what im out now
gas-$45
2 tickets-$75
lunchmeet/food-$25
glasses-$300-350 (Thats how much I paid for the ones I lost, dont know how much my new ones will be)
cell phone-$150-200 (but I guess I can live with a cracked screen)
Also, apparently I get car sick now. Never did as a kid, but I was trying to watch the 5th Harry Potter movie on the way home so I could have an idea of what was going on tonight when I went with Alicia and everyone to go see the new Harry Potter movie and my stomach started turning.
I feel really really bad, especially because Alicia had already bought my ticket, but can you blame me for not wanting to go? I cant see more than 3 feet in front of my face, my skin is burning, my stomach is turning, Im upset because I lost my glasses and broke my phone, and to top it off everyone was getting really bitchy and irritated because it seemed they were gonna be late to the movie because we didnt end up leaving Holiday World until 9 and we didnt get back to Bowling Green till ~1130. Well on top of everyone rushing to get to the theater we had to come pick up Mike Guy who was puppy-sitting for us and take him home before we went to the movie bc he works tonight. I was still in my bathing suit so it would have taken me a good 5 minutes to change into jeans and find shoes and all. I really didnt want to make everyone else later than they already were so I just stepped aside. I can always go later, im sure Alicia will want to see it again.
so this wasnt really very organized, and I didnt cover everything I wanted to. But like I said- feel like shit so Im just gonna try to go to sleep and get this day over with...
