for e-cav

this week i looked at pictures
drunk, when i was 16,
where i had stolen street signs
dressed up in ties and oxfords
a little too big for our britches;

on four wheels and in crisp
november fog i navigated
those streets this week.
Mulberry, Beechurst, Aspen -
those streets, just like a forest
ran Overhill, cross state lines,
and into Brooklyn, where i look out
of my window, and see new
street signs to steal.
