You wouldn't believe me...

If I told you how much I love my life.

Wow, were to begin. This week has been simply amazing, I can't find any other words for it. The weather changed for a couple days and it was so beautiful, I wish it would stay like that forever. I met so many great people this week and friday was definitely the highlight. I was just thinking how a mere 7 or 8 months ago we played the backbooth and there were like 20 people or so and we were happy with that. To walk outside from setting stuff up and see this huge group of people waiting to get in before doors opened, wow, I don't know. I was just so happily surprised, almost overwhelmed. A lot of it is about promotion I know, and we did so much for this show but we've done a lot before and its always a bit of a toss up but friday felt like it was finally our time. We got to play with Counterfit, the greatest band you will see for a good long time, and good friends Michigan Winter. Love those guys. The crowd ended up being one of the largest I've ever seen at the Backbooth. Just a great room packed full of good people. As far as musicallity, I know we could have played better but I know we put on a good show and people had fun. As long as people had fun I'm happy and I could see they did. I definitely think everyone got their money's worth that night. Such a great lineup. So if you were there, thank you so much. Definitely exceeded my expectations. A lot of it is thanks to all of those who have been helping us. The Hillside Family. Spaghetti Dinner and all. Mark your calanders, were looking at November 3rd for the second helping.

Alright other fun stuff. Hung out with the Counterfit guys who were just great. Justin, the lead singer/bass, gave some good tips about "the biz" labels and such and had a crazy time at the after party. Um, a glass table was shattered in the middle of Earls living room but no one seemed to mind. Just don't walk barefoot in there, ever. You kinda had to be there.

Saturday was chill. I slept a lot and got some free healthy food so that was nice. Made a stop at the liquid celar to see Cider. Definitely talented guys, and Ken is tops in my book. They did seem road weary, kinda stressed, but thats kinda expected. Then over to the Back Booth to see New Roman Times who were just amazing. Very New York. They should be playing more.

Today was picture day. I feel a little sick but sniffles aint a thing. We drove about an hour to get to this perfect spot for pictures. It was worth it. They look amazing. I'll post our new press picture soon but you'll have to wait for the album cover crackas. I just have to say Ashley did an amazing job, they look very professional. Went to work. Sucked. But the night was totally redeemed when we turn on the radio in the house and hear "all clocks stop now" blasting! A very that thing you do kind of moment. So I just hope we can keep everything going as well as it has been. I think were up for it. I know I am. There's tons of stuff I forgot to talk about, I don't want to waste too much of your space. There's a lot of good records coming out on tuesday. hooray.

heart.
