I love going to the bank.
So my phone is mostly working. Some of the keys are messed up though and don't dial correctly. Therefore, I have no idea who called and left me a voicemail last night as I cannot check my voicemail because I can't type in my password. Booo. I guess I am going to Columbus next Monday.
Well. My parents are coming up the weekend of the 21st to see me and bring me a wardrobe to hang my clothes in and some things I left behind. Yay. I miss my parents.
So, about the bank. I opened a checking account up here and because of my parents previous help in getting accounts set up for me at home and my awesomely good credit thanks to them and myself I was pre-approved for everything. Including another $8,000 credit card which I neither need nor want. But every time I go to cash a check some cute young guy sees that I'm pre-approved and starts trying to flirt with me and ask me why on earth I don't want another credit card. It is the highlight of my day. Today I went to cash a check from my grandmother and the guy says, "well I should put a hold on this because it's not from a local bank, buuut, I'll let it slide." And then he smiles at me all nice and asks me where I work and oh, where is that. It was great. Made me laugh.
I'm not sure which makes me happier, the flirting bit, or the change on bankers' faces when they realize that you're pre-approved and have such outstanding credit for someone so young. I'm going to go with the latter, because I sincerely like it when people think I have more money than I do.
I saw another opera last night. I was very excited about this one, Nixon in China, because I thought it was going to be great, especially because it's in English. Well, it pretty much sucked. Almost the entire thing lacks action. Everyone just sits around and talks and looks at the artistically modern set. Cosi was much better.
Also, I agreed to go with my boss to the Harry Potter movie tonight. She wanted me to go and is paying for my ticket so I said yes. Eh, I guess we'll see if it's worth the free ticket.
And seriously girls. I'm gonna need you to come visit me ASAP. I miss you too much.
