wonderful weeknd
I had a wonderful weeknd, friday i left home to go to moms before we all went out to my brother Karls, retirement dinner. he has resigned from the fire department as cheif to move on with his career with the other fire department. all the past and present fire personal and town managers were there to help celebrate his retirement. it was a wonderful evening, his co workers were telling stories about what Karl did, alot of it was so funny. he recieved many awards from the town and the fire department. for his long and loyal service he had spent with the department. after it was all over it was late so i stayed at moms for the night. i did have a job bid to go do and it was easier to just stay down. plus Karls wife was throwing a surprize party for him and a co worker Bob. he was so suprized when he road up on his harley and seen about 45 people there yelling suprized. the look on his face was priceless. it was a taco and margaritia party. the food was wonderful plus we all got drunk hehehe. it had been awhile since i have had anything to drink. it was a great party and i got to meet alot of people that Karl works with and thier families...
on the way home from the job bid i stopped at the new electronic store that just opened a few weeks ago called Fry,s . moms mixer went on the blink and i went in there to see what they had and see what the cost was. and i saw one that was really nice. since mothers day is next weeknd i bought one for her. its a Sunbeam Heritage Model. its a really nice one. they have always had sunbeam products and the last forever and are reliable. dam mom still has and uses their sunbeam toaster they got as a wedding gift, when they got married 57 years ago. so when i got to her house i had set it up and luckly they were in the other room watching tv. then i told mom to come into the kitchen. took her awhile to see it but the look on her face was priceless. she told me that i didnt have to get her anything but for me i wanted to get her something. she was excited and thanked me and gave me a long hug. i would do anything for them.
well today is just a lazy day, just relaxing. thinking on what i want to do on my birthday but most likely will probley do nothing. but who knows. for me birthdays are depressing just know one to help celebrate it with me. but who knows maybe this year will be different. tuesday is my bowling banquet. another year has gone by and the winter league is now over. i ended the season with a 189 average, which i am happy with. the highest average ive finished the season with. so we all will get our prize money. not sure what i will be getting but it should be alot we finished in 2nd place and also they payout in pin money and my team had the highest pin count so we should get quite alot. plus some money for team achievements, we have the highest score as a team for a high game stratch. we should get more cash this year due to the fact the league had doubled in size from last year so we will see. i am glad the season is over, i love bowling but it will be nice to take a break for the summer.......................
