Not only did we get the shipment in for By His Grace, but we also had the chance to sing this morning for some great folks down at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Chicago Heights. It's always fun to be with these folks; they are some of the nicest people and incredibly supportive of my ministry. It was a great morning worship and great sermon by Pastor Long. He's been the pastor there for 25 years, and is the most pentecostal Baptist minister I've ever seen! The people were great as always, and they took home quite a few CDs to boot! After the service Pastor Long and his wife took us out for lunch and we had a good time of fellowship and lots of good food.
We've gotten a lot of very positive feedback on the new CD. When you work on a project like this, you want it to sound a certain way, look a certain way, all that. It really all depends on what you have to work with and who you have to work with. I've already told you about the wonderful folks at Morning Star Records, and about the incredible producer we worked with in Adrian Payne. What I have not done is tell you about the great work my promotions team and office staff have done. Her name is Kelly...and she's my wife! :-)
Not only has Kelly been a great help to me during this time with everything from song selection to liner notes, she also did the photography for the project and designed the layout and artwork. She also redesigned our web site and set up a store where you can purchase the merchandise on-line! She's a wonderful blessing to me, our family, and this ministry!
We'll be off this coming weekend (so far), but then start a busy couple of months with ministry and a little time for vacation! Be sure and check the schedule on the web site, and for all you folks in the wester/southwestern part of Ohio, be sure and note the Unite Darke County event on June 16th. We'll be singing at 7:30 that evening at the Greenville City Park, so come out and enjoy a great afternoon of Gospel Music. There'll be all kinds of music represented and a great opportunity for fellowship with other believers!
We should get the word this week that the new single has been shipped to radio stations. Once I get that info, I'll pass it along to you...as well as some phone numbers you can call and request "He Made Something Out of Me." The more requests a station gets, the better exposure the song has. I'm really excited about things to come, and I can't wait to share more exciting news with you.
So, till next time.....
Blessings!
