Guys, I know this is weird, but I have to pee like a (I'm not going to say it as I'm curbing my swearing since I will be around little children when I return to the motherland) and the one and only bathroom with a WESTERN style toilet in this godforsaken* school is OUT OF ORDER. Grrr... It was all day yesterday and is all day today. WHAT ON EARTH ARE THEY DOING IN THERE? I mean, c'mon, a girl's gotta go.
I'm sure you're asking, "What about the other bathrooms with 'non-western' toilets...wait - what's a non-western toilet?"
In answer to your question, the Aussies teaching with us over here like to call them "squatties". Yes, that means it's like a small urinal in the GROUND that you have to SQUAT over to pee in. I am NOT male, I am FEMALE and thus using a "squatty" toilet is completely out of the question.
Anyways, I'm biding my time before I can run the heck home from school and pee in my WESTERN toilet in my apartment. I'm also praying that I don't develop a bladder infection from the wait...
*it's not ALWAYS godforsaken - just during the winter with all the freakin' snow and no heaters, in the fall because of the million stink bugs, and in the summer because of the heat. Hallelujah it's almost Spring!
