So, Cory and I just found out that we will be "stationed" (oh God, does that sound like we're in the military or what?) in Hyogo prefecture in Japan. This is quite honestly, TOTALLY AWESOME (like the little neighbor kid in the Incredibles says) for three reasons:
A) I've been there before - it's a pretty big area, but at least somethings may look familiar
B) Close to the majority of the Japanese people we currently know
C) Close to TOTALLY AWESOME (ala' Incredibles) cities like Kobe, Kyoto, Osaka
D) Mostly suburban (yippee for no tiny villages and no BIG expensive cities)
and
E) Smack-dab in the middle of Japan - not too far from Tokyo and Disney-C, and not too far from Okinawa (Japan's Hawaii)
So, life will be good if I could just get over the fact that this move is going to take some serious purging and some serious balls. Really - we have no idea where we'll be living (we basically only know the state, not the city, etc,) no idea how to pay bills, no idea how to have our necessary prescriptions (hello: NO BABIES,) where to ship our stuff, IF we'll be paying rent... The list goes on and on.
To top things off, still NOTHING on a job for Cory in Japan. NOTHING. Ugh. Well, I'm sure my sweet, intelligent, better at Japanese than I am husband will eventually find something.
But, all in all, good news. At least I don't feel like I'm COMPLETELY in the dark about moving to another country in 2 months! That's right folks, only 2 months from this last MONDAY and we'll be living for at least a full year half-way across the world.
Man, girl! Buck up and get your already homesick-self (what? I haven't even left yet) in a GREAT mood for....
PACKING. ;)
