Today
Today I said good-bye to Kirsten.
I'm so proud of her. More proud of her than I've ever been of any friend. How random is that, right? But when I think of her living her dream in Seattle, my heart swells up and I want to shout, "That's her! That's my friend, and she's doing it. She's seeing her ambitions through. She will succeed where others fail. She has the heart that others do not. And I know her. She's a friend of mine. How lucky have I been to have known her these years, though they've been too few?"
But the fact remains.
