I really loved this. The relationship development was easy and natural without being too rushed, and I loved the way they bolstered one another's confidence and supported one another even though they were competitors. just lovely!! :)

Oh, thank you so much for your kind words. I really hoped that my portrayal of their relationship development would feel natural so I'm thrilled to know that you did think so.

I really liked this! It was fun to try to figure out the parallels with real life skating personalities (Jean-Baptiste is Chan, right? And Kurt is obviously Johnny. I can't quite figure Blaine out, though. Some kind of awesome mixture of Stéphane and Evan?)

Also, I liked how their relationship developed and how exciting all the skating events were!

I would like to think that I've kept as close to the canon personalities of Kurt and Blaine as possible. :) But I did indeed borrow from real skaters but that was more skating abilities and skating careers. Jean-Baptiste is clearly Pchiddy with all his wins and then random-as-fuck falls. Though Pchiddy would never have gotten as low score as Jean-Babtiste does in the fic. Hello, wish fulfillment!

I was trying not to make Kurt too Johnny-like. Of course Johnny's skating has been criticized in the same manner as Kurt's is in the story but I was more trying to depict the real homophobia of figure skating than anything else. I'd say his career is a little more modelled on Jeremy Abbott's career (except JA only once became a Grand Prix Final winner and never even medalled at Worlds). And I visualize Kurt's skating to be more like Jeremy Abbott than Johnny but with the agility of Plushy and Yuzuru Hanyu.

As for Blaine, I'm totally thinking Javier Fernandéz when it comes to the skating (this exhibition number is quite similar to what I ( ... )

Definitely not too long to read! I really liked getting this inside scoop! :D

I should totally have picked up on the reference to Super Javi! I love how much thought you put into this fic. It really shows. Both in how authentic all the skating stuff feels, but also how authentic the Japan bits feel! And the Glee personalities translate so well and all stay so wonderfully in character. I always laughed at Rachel... such a drama queen. And Sanrana was spot on! As were they all, really. ♥

I love love writing Santana. She has a bigger role in another story I wrote but I loved to be able to write one scene for her here.

And again, thank you!
