Weekend!!! Fantastic.
Last night I went to a dinner party at Helen’s in her new Kings Cross Travelodge-flat. It’s really very cool, even I could store all my clothes in the amount of storage space they have, and the Travelodge bar is open til 1am! I’m a big fan of dinner parties, and I have to say that melted mars bars on ice cream is just pure genius. I could live on that stuff. After dinner we went to Popstarz, the self-styled “Biggest Queer Alternative”. I have always suspected that I have slightly gay music taste, and this was confirmed in no uncertain terms. We weren’t there for very long (last trains…) but the music played was pretty much identical to the playlist on my iPod… This, of course, means that it was bloody fantastic and each track was more danceable than the last! Definitely looking forward to going back there. Although, as Tara said, it’s now clear where all the good-looking men in London are - checking out all the other good-looking men!
Today I am making revision notes. Woooohooo. Tomorrow, Mum’s doing a roast dinner as they have friends over, and I think I’d be mad to say no! Dave and I are returning to Mondragone (an amazing Italian restaurant in Walthamstow - yes, ‘tis true!) in the evening, and I’m hoping that they won’t remember me as the girl who was violently ill after only two mouthfuls of gnocchi…
Saturday morning TV sucks!! Bring back ‘Going Live’, Trevor and Simon and ‘Swing Your Pants’…
